About Us

The Arkansas Mental Health Counselors Association (ArMHCA) is the collective voice of licensed mental health counselors in Arkansas. We advocate for all masters level mental health professionals to be able to receive third party payment as a stand-alone mental health counseling professional. We also advocated for the improvement in overall mental health for the citizens of Arkansas by supporting graduate students and reaching out to the community.

ArMHCA provides legislative awareness to its members, opportunities to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and networking opportunities.

ArMHCA also recommends counselors to the Governor to consider for appointment to the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling. ArMHCA works with the Arkansas Senate and House of Representatives to provide positive legislation to address issues related to counseling in Arkansas.

ArMHCA exists to support its members, and we continue to grow because of your involvement. Thank you for your continued support, membership, and participation in ArMHCA.

If you are not a member of ArMHCA, check us out and join in! We are waiting on you!

Annual Conference

ArMHCA hosts an annual conference in April. The conference offers workshops and presentations focused on mental health counseling. When you attend our conference you will have the opportunity to receive up to 16 CEU’s. We strive to provide all the mandated ethics CEU’s for therapists, supervisors, and technology assisted specialists. You will receive up to date information about Arkansas Law and licensure information.

Each year our corporate sponsors continue to grow. They provide sponsorship, informational booths, and valuable networking for potential job opportunities.
